Antelope Valley was originally used as a trade route for Native Americans moving to the coast of California. Once the first settlement was established, the area started growing rapidly due to developments such as cattle ranching, gold mining, and the construction of a railroad line.
Aside from their iconic poppy fields, Antelope Valley provides residents and guests with plenty of opportunities for shopping, dining, drinking, and exploring. The valley can be accessed via the California State Route 14. It is also surrounded by other popular California locations like Los Angeles, Hollywood, Venice Beach, and Santa Monica.
